EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: I am a B.Sc graduate. I don't know much about computers, only that much that is required for medical transcription. I have not done computer course.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
I did the transcription course and worked for a company in Baroda for 3 years, as an in-house employee, doing medical transcription, on live files of various specialty doctors such as, cardiovascular, neurology, nephrology, operative, musculoskeleton, gastroenterology, radiology, pulmonology, psychiatry, gynecology, in that order. I have experience of both US and UK process. After that we shifted to Bangalore and I worked for 3 years as HBT. I am currently working on Escription Platform editing editscript files.

TRANSCRIPTION ACCURACY: My accuracy, in medical transcription, is around 95%.

TRANSCRIBING SPEED: My typing speed is, at present, about 45 words/minute. In a day shift or in a night shift, I can finish around 50 minutes of transcription or about 500 lines/day, provided the audio, volume and clarity, is good. I have excellent English grammar and spelling skills, as well as a broad medical terminology background. Therefore I can also be a proof reader, though I have experience only as an MT and not as a proofer. I have no direct uploading experience.

SALARY DRAWN: About Rs. 10,000/- p.m. or as per my line count. I am not very particular about how much I earn per month provided I am satisfied with the work I am getting. I want to do transcription the whole day, in my comfort zone and at my own pace, in my work timings that I have enumerated below.

TIME I CAN DEVOTE TO MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION: On any particular day, including Sunday, I can work for approximately 9 hours, from 9.30 a.m. till 12 o'clock in the night (day shift), with breaks in between for lunch, dinner, etc., or from 10 p.m. till 5 a.m. (night shift) I can work either in the night or in the day shift. I have enumerated my work timings, in detail, below.

Medical transcription is a passion to me. I devote every second of my free time towards gaining and improving my medical knowledge.

DETAILS OF MY WORK SCHEDULE:

DAY SHIFT:

9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
3 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
10 p.m. to 12 o'clock

I would like to mention that I can work in these timings only, in split hours, as detailed above, throughout the day, because I have to look after my handicapped son. The total time duration that I can devote to the transcription of files, will be around 9 hours, from 9.30 a.m. to 12 o'clock in the night. I cannot start work earlier than 9.30 a.m. These are the only timings available to me for transcription.

NIGHT SHIFT:

10.30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I also would like to mention that I cannot come to office, daily, for training purposes, because of the problem I have mentioned above. I will be able to manage just one or two days,at the most, for training/interview, if required.
